BM Aluminium, the UK leader in window, door and curtain walling construction software for the aluminium market, has kicked off 2018 where it left off last year with its LogiKal software system, the country’s number one software choice.

The business, which has its head office in the high-quality accommodation at Brockeridge Park in Tewkesbury, saw record growth in the first quarter of 2018 following 13% growth in turnover during 2017. A trend which looks set to continue throughout the coming year

According to Managing Director, Dean Hodges, “Our success is down simply to our products and our people. Our LogiKal software is ideal for companies fabricating in more than one profile system because it allows users to switch effortlessly between profiles.

“Our success reflects not only that, but also the increasingly widespread recognition of the value of software in the aluminium sector. Fabricators can use LogiKal to link their estimating, drawing office and production functions and easily quantify and analyse the payback it delivers in real time savings.”

“Business growth has created the need to recruit more bright people and our staff numbers grew by 20% in 2017 in response to the continuing demand. We were delighted that we were able to move seamlessly into bigger offices at Brockeridge Park to accommodate this growth. The location suits us perfectly so we were delighted to be able move into Welland Court.

“Brockeridge Park has everything we need with its beautiful, semi-rural setting, coupled with a convenient location right on the congestion-free M50 and minutes from the M5. I think where we are located and the quality of our working environment has certainly helped in attracting the best recruits.”

In December, Jack Taylor became the latest college leaver to join BM Aluminium as a trainee software technician. He follows in the footsteps of established team members Dan Hodges, Ben Knight and Jack Antosch, who all originally joined as trainees and benefited from the company’s comprehensive workplace training programme.

Dean Hodges continues, “In recent years, we have shown that training our own team is the best way to get the skills we need to deliver such a bespoke service to customers. Our record on recruiting and retaining high calibre staff is outstanding, and I think that’s mainly because we’ve become very good at recognising potential in young people and allowing them to progress rapidly with us.

“Offering potential recruits a great environment to in which to work is also very important. Here at Brockeridge, we have superb office facilities and a congestion-free journey to and from work that means everyone is in the best possible frame of mind at the beginning and end of the working day.”
