The Blackwell Group is a major civil engineering, remediation, geotechnical, demolition and earthmoving contractor operating throughout the UK and has been established since 1956. We are a wholly owned family business with headquarters in Earls Colne, near Colchester and regional offices in Tewkesbury, Cardiff, Wakefield, Grangemouth, Leeds and Billingham.
We have the management systems to run schemes of varying sizes incorporating Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental approved to BS OHSAS 18001:2007, BS ISO 9001:2008 and BS ISO 14001:2004.

Infrastructure
We deliver a range of solutions for private and public sector clients, our experience includes Design and Build, Structures, Bridges, Site Clearance, Bulk Earthworks, Compaction, Drainage Systems, Screening and Crushing Hard Materials, Building Foundations, Highways including Section 278 and 38 works, Flood Defence, Constructing and Forming Balancing Ponds, Swales and River Diversions, Hard Landscaping including Retaining Walls, Paving, Kerbing and Soft Landscaping.
Remediation
Specialist remediation services and comprehensive solutions ranging from advisory services to direct delivery of decontamination through ex-situ and in- situ techniques for soils and groundwater including eradication of Japanese knotweed. We have SEPA/EA licenses to operate mobile treatment plants and to undertake waste transfer.
Specialist decommissioning
Demolition and decommissioning services on a national basis ranging from mainstream building demolition to specialist de-planting, asbestos removal and asset recovery.
Geotechnical
Soil improvement through stabilisation with quicklime and / or cement. Offering a totally integrated design and construction service, including site investigation/ soil testing in our own UKAS accredited laboratory.
